Standard Films "Second Coming" Poster

This is a promotional poster for Standard Films 2006 release, "The Second Coming". Standard Films is one of the major players in the action sports film industry. Every year they assemble several of the world's best riders and put together a film. With the name, "The Second Coming", we wanted to put together something kind of apocalytipco / monolithical; hence the idea of the massive gondola tower. We wanted to keep it very clean which led to the all white graphic treatment of the picture of the gondola tower. Further inspiration was just the feeling of being outside on the mountain during a blizzard. You can't really see much and everything begins to take on a blurred out, snowy white perception.

M4 GT 2007

Gabe Taylor is a friend of mine and a professional snowboarder. These are his pro-model graphics for 2007. The inspiration behind it was was New York circa turn of the century. However, he wanted some random and eccentric elements intertwined within the graphic. The pattern in the background is of those turn of the century bicycles with the giant front wheel. Patterns were an element of past graphics I had done for Gabe, so we wanted to incorporate one for this board. However, the main objective was to create something whimsical yet clever and to use colors that would standout in photography and video.

M3 GT 2006

Before there was M4 there was M3. This is Gabe Taylor's graphic for his pro-model snowboard for 2006. The inspiration behind this was Vaudeville, Arcade Fire, Lower East Side NYC, and all things similar that were so popular at the time. I found several different elements that we thought were intriguing and began to piece them together to create this graphic. Hot air balloons, sword fighting, and the Champs Elysee led to what I felt was a very successful graphic. This board actually sold quite well and won an award from Transworld Snowboarding Magazine for "Good Wood".
